statement of intent

 My statement of intent

Product : I will be using water as my healthy drink for my production. My original slogan for my adverts will be Sip, Smile, Repeat. I will be using my sister as the main person in my advert as she will be cleaning in the first advert feeling down and upset. Then whilst she drinks the drink she will feel way better. In the second advert she will be drinking the drink in the second advert feeling way better about herself and her mood would have been changed to a better mood.

The way I plan to meet the brief is by using a young person/young adult  in my advert so it will hopefully help/ motivate more of the younger generation to drink more healthy drinks. My character will be my sister as she is in the age range of the target audience. The narrative that will be in my adverts will be me saying the slogan and in the second advert there will be some dialogue throughout the advert. The camera shots I will use for my adverts will be : Start of advert 1 will  begin with a long shot because it shows the people who are watching the advert what the person is doing. The middle of the advert contains a medium shot because they will open up the fridge to grab the healthy drink. It will also contain a over the shoulder shot by showing the drink being in the fridge. After they drink the smoothie it will contain a close up  shot because the person drinking the drink will smile after taking a sip. This communicates to the audience that the drink is tasty and high in energy. At the end of the advert there will be another long shot because it will show how the person's mood has improved and for advert 2 will begin with a close up shot of the person's alarm. There will be a medium close up shot of them opening the fridge from the inside of the fridge. At the end of the advert there will be a medium close up shot of them drinking the drink and lastly there will be a zooming out shot of them drinking the drink and feeling better. For mise-en-scene I will be using : Costume : either pyjamas or a tracksuit in the beginning and then more colourful clothes when she takes a sip of the drink this costume will be more relatable to the audience because they are the clothes usual people would wear sound the house, Lighting/time of day : in the morning or after,  Actors : My sister,  Makeup and hair : No makeup and messy hair in the beginning to get the feeling that she's just woken up and then when she takes a sip she's more put together so neat hair and natural makeup this makeup will provide an inference to the audience that the drink has made a massive impact to her mood and appearance, Props : a phone , the innocent smoothie and cleaning products, Setting : a house. For sound and advert 1 i will be using very mood lowering music as in the beginning the actor is very tired etc . This will help the audience understand her mood is very low and depressing, but the music will be brighter and happier during the advert. For advert 2 it will again start with depressing music but will get happier as the advert goes on to prove that her mood has been dramatically changed. I will be varying between the both non-diegetic and diegetic sound for my adverts. To make my advert a little bit better.

The representations I will be creating in my advert will be people of a younger age. The way I will be trying to reinforce/ challenge stereotypes will be using a female in my advert. The reason this is “reinforcing” stereotypes is because for most of the adverts for healthy drinks there is a male body/voice in most of the adverts about healthy drinks. My target audience will be young adults/teenagers. My adverts will be available for any races and any genders. My adverts will be trying to persuade people in the younger generation to drink more healthy drinks and to be healthy in general. The audience pleasures my adverts will offer will be relatable towards the audiences because  the actors in the adverts will be a teenager and it also relates how when you wake up (or in  general) you feel tired and moody. I will use Todorov’s equilibrium for both my adverts.
