Summer Project: coursework planning

Innocent smoothies:

 1) What is the unique selling point of the product? Its fresh and presents fruit next to the product

2) What audience do you think this is aimed at? Add as much detail as possible (e.g. demographics, psychographics) and explain why. I think its aimed at people in their 20s/early 30s. The reason why i think this is because in the advert it was presented with coffee and breakfast food.

3) What do you notice about the technical construction of the advert? Pick out one thing you like about the advert from camerawork, editing, sound or mise-en-scene. I like the music in the video because its a very bright and friendly song just like the actual product. It uses animation to intrigue people to buy it.It also looks appetising to the audience.

4) What representations can you find in the advert? This may be representations of people or groups or perhaps the brand itself.
the last viewing of the advert we can say that the last scene in the table uses coffee and a nice set table to look pleasing for middle class adults.

Lucozade :

1) What is the unique selling point of the product? It shows that whatever you do lucozade is for everyone.

2) What audience do you think this is aimed at? Add as much detail as possible (e.g. demographics, psychographics) and explain why. I think its aimed at people who do sports that make you use a lot of energy.

3) What do you notice about the technical construction of the advert? Pick out one thing you like about the advert from camerawork, editing, sound or mise-en-scene. It uses  people who do basketball and people who dance into one basketball court to prove a point.

4) What representations can you find in the advert? This may be representations of people or groups or perhaps the brand itself. The representations I can find is that its for all genders but mostly for the older generation.

Other health Drinks : ( Huel )

1) What is the unique selling point of the product? In the beginning of the advert they were chopping vegetables which suggest that the drink contains vegetables

2) What audience do you think this is aimed at? Add as much detail as possible (e.g. demographics, psychographics) and explain why. I think this drink is for older people who are busy and don't have time to be preparing healthy meals.

3) What do you notice about the technical construction of the advert? Pick out one thing you like about the advert from camerawork, editing, sound or mise-en-scene. You may want to focus on TV advert conventions such as voiceover for example.  It uses real food to prove to the audiences what is in the drink.

4) What representations can you find in the advert? This may be representations of people or groups or perhaps the brand itself. In the advert the person in the advert is older so this proves its not suitable for younger people. It also says the price of how much is.

2) TV advert planning

Plan out the brand of health drink you are going to use along with the narrative and character for your two adverts. You also need to plan elements like the slogan, settings, music and more.

Answer the following TV advert pitch questions with your original idea for health drink TV adverts aimed at teenagers and young adults:

1) What brand of health drink are you going to use? You can use an existing drink: Innocent Smoothie.

2) New slogan for the health drink (MUST be original - cannot be existing slogan): Sip, Smile, Repeat.

3) Main character(s) that will appear in your adverts:

4) Narrative: What will happen in your first advert? a man will drink a smoothie and will get an energy boost.

5) Narrative: What will happen in your second advert? facts about the drink and animations.

6) Where will you film your adverts? You need a different location for each advert. The street for advert 1 and a field for the second one.

7) Who will be in your adverts? friends and family.

8) What music will you use for your adverts? What voiceover will you use and who will you use to record the voiceover? Note: for music you can use existing music tracks. Upbeat music

9) How will your adverts appeal to your 15-30 year old target audience?  It will appeal to the needs of them ages.

10) What TV channel and programme would your advert appear during and why? Remember the brief states a mainstream TV channel or streaming service. ITV, BBC and social media.

3) Statement of Intent

I will make two 40-60 second adverts about healthy drinks. One advert will about a person drinking the drink and will get an energy boost and will carry on with his day with full energy. The other one will be about facts and animation about the drink full of trying convincing the audience to buy the product.
